About TMScope

TMScope started with a problem I ran into myself.

I'm a physician-technologist. Most of my work has been in building technology products, including products in healthcare. In the process of developing new brands and product names, I ran into the same trademark problem that many founders and small businesses face early on: the process was harder to navigate, more expensive, and less accessible than it should have been.

At one end, there were free tools that were difficult to use well. At the other, there were more expensive legal options that made sense in some situations, but not always at the earliest stage. What seemed to be missing was a practical middle step.

That is what TMScope is built to be.

What TMScope does

TMScope provides preliminary trademark screening for U.S. word marks. It helps users see similar marks, conflict signals, and broader brand-use findings in a structured report so they can make a more informed decision before filing or investing further in a name.

TMScope screens against millions of U.S. federal trademark records updated daily from the USPTO. Enhanced screenings also check common-law sources including domain registrations, business directories, and web presence.

What TMScope is not

TMScope is not a law firm. It does not provide legal advice or legal clearance. Its purpose is to help people get better preliminary information earlier in the process. When conflict signals are strong or ambiguous, we recommend consulting a trademark attorney.

Methodology and language analysis for TMScope validated by an intellectual property attorney.

TMScope is a product of RZV.

TMScope provides preliminary screening for informational purposes only. TMScope is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice or legal clearance.
